Virtual Instruments Delivers Industry’s First “Production to Lab” Workload Analysis and Performance Capacity Planning Solution for NAS-based Storage Systems

San Jose, Calif., April 11, 2017 – Virtual Instruments, the leader in App-centric Infrastructure Performance Management, announced today enhancements to its Load DynamiX Enterprise storage performance validation solution, which enables storage professionals to validate and optimize their storage investments. Driven by customer demand, Load DynamiX Enterprise 5.3 lets customers more intelligently deploy storage infrastructure for their hybrid data centers. It simplifies the entire storage performance testing and validation process and provides the most realistic results available on the market today, resulting in deployment decisions that can save millions in storage costs and ensure the performance of business-critical applications.

Load DynamiX Enterprise 5.3 lets storage engineers and architects perform what-if analysis and modeling for NAS (NFSv3) using a customer’s production storage workloads to greatly enhance realism. In addition, there’s a new preconditioning methodology for Flash Array performance testing, providing advanced capabilities for analyzing the performance of high-end arrays.

Key new features include:

  • Ability to build temporal NFSv3 workload models for hyper-realistic modeling and analysis
  • A simplified, foolproof methodology for preconditioning all-flash arrays connected via Fibre Channel and iSCSI;
  • Enhanced user productivity and GUI improvements, such as real-time test status notifications and more intuitive workflows; and
  • Test management improvements to simplify administrative tasks such as results management, backup and restore, and other system management functions.
