By Sean O’Donnell, EMEA Managing Director, Virtual Instruments
Earlier this year the Virtual Instruments team took a trip to Barcelona for the European iteration of Cisco Live, Cisco’s annual user conference where partners and customers learn new technologies, discuss business trends, share ideas and network.
As you may recall, back in October we announced a game-changing partnership with Cisco that allows us to dramatically simplify and lower the cost of storage network performance monitoring. During the Cisco Live event, we unveiled the technology integration of VirtualWisdom, our flagship app-centric IPM monitoring and analytics solution, with Cisco’s MDS 9700 32G Module and Fiber Channel SAN Telemetry Streaming solution. Visitors to our booth were privy to the first-ever demo of the Cisco/VirtualWisdom solution, and the live demo was in use throughout the course of the event.
Our innovative technology integration with Cisco means customers can seamlessly gain non-intrusive visibility into their SAN deployments. This vastly simplifies their IT infrastructure management and assures the highest availability and performance of mission-critical application environments. We’ve also eliminated the requirement to deploy physical network TAPs and probes.
While both analysts and the media have expressed their excitement about our Cisco partnership, this event was the first time that potential customers got to see the technology in action. We couldn’t have been happier with the response and look forward to attending future Cisco Live events both in the U.S. and Europe.
