By the time December 26th rolls around, there’s a good chance that the only person who will have logged more travel miles than us the past few months is Santa Claus himself. We’ve had a whirlwind Fall/Winter event season, and wanted to share the many highlights from three of the most notable shows: the Gartner IT Infrastructure, Operations & Cloud Strategies Conferences in Las Vegas and London, and the NetApp Insight conferences in Las Vegas and Barcelona.
We’ll start with the most recent event first. The Gartner IT Infrastructure, Operations & Cloud Strategies Conference Las Vegas, which took place December 3-6 at The Venetian, featured more than 2,500 IT infrastructure and operations (I&O) professionals discussing how they can leverage the latest technologies to make better decisions, prioritize initiatives and link I&O strategies to the goals of their business. This was our 10th consecutive year at the show, and every year it becomes increasingly clear that organizations are eager to find better ways to proactively manage the performance, health and utilization of their increasingly complex hybrid data centers – which just happens to be our specialty.
We welcomed hundreds of visitors to our booth, where they had the opportunity to experience demos of VirtualWisdom, the industry’s most comprehensive hybrid infrastructure management and AIOps platform, and WorkloadWisdom, the industry’s leading workload performance validation platform. The VirtualWisdom demos were particularly exciting, as we had the brand new version of the product, released at NetApp Insight Las Vegas, available for test drives. Attendees were blown away (their words, not ours, but we won’t argue) by how extensively VirtualWisdom has evolved into a full-stack monitoring and AIOps platform. In addition, attendees were intrigued by the fact that VirtualWisdom, through its ability to visualize infrastructure in the context of the application, is able to help organizations bring an end to their dreaded IT war rooms.
We were also honored to have one of our marquee customers, Kaiser Permanente, participate in one of our sessions at Gartner I&O Las Vegas on best practices for mission-critical infrastructure monitoring. More than 200 conference-goers attended the session, moderated by our CTO, John Gentry, which underscored the critical role AI and machine learning will continue to play in hybrid infrastructure management in 2019 and beyond.
This overwhelmingly positive response was mirrored at Gartner I&O London, which took place November 26-27 at The O2 at the Intercontinental London. Just like the Vegas edition, the London event focused on the elements of a building a successful infrastructure and operations strategy – from the cloud and IoT to artificial intelligence, automation and machine learning. In addition to our booth demos of VirtualWisdom and WorkloadWisdom, another of our marquee customers, Bosch, discussed their best practices for infrastructure performance assurance. I had the pleasure of moderating the session, which featured more than 70 attendees.
On top of the 500+ attendees we met with, as well 10 separate meetings with Gartner analysts across both Gartner I&O events, we also made our presence felt at the two NetApp Insight events, which took place October 22-24 in Las Vegas and December 3-5 in Barcelona. We received a huge amount of positive feedback on our storage infrastructure management solutions and specifically on our NAS Performance Probe, which is the industry’s first and only real-time NAS Performance monitoring solution. Overall, it was incredibly exciting to watch attendees experience our new VirtualWisdom 6 platform for the first time.
If you weren’t able to attend these events or didn’t make it to our booth at any of them, don’t worry – you can still request a personal demo of all of our industry-leading hybrid infrastructure management solutions. Drop us a line and we’ll be in touch!
