Every year, twice a year, we have an event season. It takes place from April through June and September through early December. With the 4th of July just behind us, we’re now in the heart of the summer – and while that means beach days for some and a reminder that the work never stops for others, it also means that we just finished “phase 1” of event season here at Virtual Instruments.
We kicked off our event season in April with a number of IT executive forums and then participated in our largest annual event, Dell EMC World, in May. This was a fantastic week in Las Vegas that featured thousands of people visiting our booth, and we also fielded a huge amount of interest in our flagship solutions, VirtualWisdom and Load DynamiX Enterprise. At our booth, we held demos of our new VirtualWisdom 5.2 solution working in conjunction with the latest EMC all-flash arrays, which provides enhancements to support hyperconverged architectures and improved visibility for hybrid IT.
From there it was back to Vegas a month later (we know, it’s a tough life here at Virtual Instruments) for Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s Discover 2017 event, where we continued to see strong interest from attendees in VirtualWisdom and Load DynamiX Enterprise. This event also provided us with further evidence that now, more than ever, application owners are actively researching solutions that can help them assure performance for their business-critical application environments. This theme was also intertwined throughout the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation’s (USGIF) GEOINT 2017 Symposium we attended in June, which is one of the largest annual events for the defense, intelligence and homeland security communities.
We also sponsored and exhibited at two major Gartner events: the IT Infrastructure & Operations Management Summit in Berlin and the IT Operations Strategies & Solutions Summit in Orlando. We met with hundreds of IT Infrastructure leaders who we educated on the benefits of our application-centric approach to infrastructure performance management. It was a unique and well-received message.
June continued to be a busy but exciting month as we stayed home in the Bay Area to showcase our wares at the Pure Accelerate 2017 event in San Francisco. We conducted demos of VirtualWisdom at our booth, which helped attendees learn first-hand how to transform data into answers and actionable insights. We also ran demos of Load DynamiX Enterprise, so attendees could learn how to choose the best storage system for their application workloads and fully understand how application workload behavior affects the performance of their storage infrastructure.
As you can tell, it was a whirlwind spring for us – and if you want to hear more about anything we’ve discussed in this post, drop us a line or let’s connect on Twitter.
