When Time is of the Essence
QuickStart Services are designed to accelerate the implementation cycle and enable customers to quickly benefit from their Virtual Instruments deployment. Realizing value in the first 30 days is our objective.
These services combine the following:
- Planning and logistics assistance to prepare for deployment
- On-site installation and training support to assist with physical installation and getting administrators and users properly prepared
- Baseline assessment of key SAN monitoring data to identify key usage metrics, physical layer problems and specific opportunities for improvement
- Review of findings and recommendations from the assessment
- Support implementing recommended monitoring changes

Express Service
The QuickStart Express Service combines on-site training and deployment assistance services to assist with a smooth and effective solution deployment and launch. It includes support for the software probe (SAN Availabity Probe). The QuickStart Express Service includes the following valuable components:
- Deployment project management and planning assistance
- Software installation
- VirtualWisdom configuration
- Hands-on VirtualWisdom® training
- Operational verification and testing
- Custom development and tuning of alerts, reports, and filters
- Review and analysis of month’s SAN monitoring data
- Data correlation and analysis
- Report of findings and recommendations
- Consultative review of findings and recommendations

Enterprise Service
The QuickStart Enterprise Service combines on-site training and deployment assistance services to assist with a smooth and effective solution deployment and launch. It expands on the Express service with the addition of support for the VirtualWisdom SAN Performance Probe and Rover. The QuickStart Enterprise Service includes the following valuable components:
- Deployment project management and planning assistance
- TAP installation training
- Software installation
- SAN Performance Probe installation
- SANInsight™ Rover installation
- VirtualWisdom configuration, including SAN Availability Probe, SAN Performance Probe and Rover configuration
- Hands-on VirtualWisdom training

SOS-4-SANs Emergency SAN Troubleshooting | The Virtual Instruments SOS-4-SANs Service is designed to offer immediate expert assistance to end-users, integrators, and SAN component vendors who require deep expertise in troubleshooting SAN problems. By utilizing the VirtualWisdom® and SANInsight™ monitoring and analysis products, Virtual Instruments is unique in its ability to identify and resolve Fibre Channel (FC) SAN emergencies to bring mission-critical applications rapidly back to optimal performance.

SAN Healthcheck and Scan Service | By looking deep into the SAN infrastructure physical layer, Virtual Instruments’ SAN HealthCheck and Performance Scan Service, can quickly identify performance and behavior anomalies and trouble spots on any SAN. The service scans all levels of connectivity to identify potential communication issues on the Fibre Channel network and points out potential issues that are on the verge of or have exceeded the “Fibre Channel rules of thumb” SAN infrastructure behavior. A comprehensive report of analysis and findings is provided at the conclusion of the service. The customer ma then choose to request additional services to provide detailed capacity planning or to assist in the resolution of issues found during the SAN HealthCheck and Performance Scan Service.

Virtual Infrastructure Healthcheck and Scan | The Virtual Infrastructure HealthCheck and Performance Scan Service is designed for customers who have deployed virtualized infrastructure and need visibility into how the SAN I/O infrastructure affects the performance of applications deployed on VMs.

Virtual Infrastructure Optimization and Best Practices | The Virtual Infrastructure Optimiza tion and Best Practices Service is designed for customers who are planning virtualized infrastructure and need the tools and informa tion to assess the current environment and to plan for and optimize their virtualized environment.

QuickStart Services for VirtualWisdom | VirtualWisdom QuickStart Services are designed to jumpstart the deployment of Virtual Instruments’ VirtualWisdom software and associated SANInsight™ hardware products such as Traffic Access Points (TAPs), SAN Monitoring Probes (SAN Performance Probe), Rovers, and Protocol Analyzers. These services combine on-site training and deployment services to help ensure a successful initial VirtualWisdom deployment.
