Virtual Instruments Joins SNIA Europe
LONDON, UK – 9th February 2012 - Virtual Instruments, the leader in virtual infrastructure optimisation solutions, today announced that it has joined the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) Europe as it continues to invest in growing its European presence. As a member company Virtual Instruments will work with SNIA Europe to help develop best practices and to educate the market about data storage optimisation and related technologies including cloud computing.
Over the last 12 months, Virtual Instruments has experienced a dramatic increase in the number of Global 2000 enterprises deploying its core platform, VirtualWisdom. This is a clear indication of the need for increased visibility into storage networks among end users, and by contributing to the direction of the association Virtual Instruments will help organisations make the most of their existing investments in data storage technologies.
“SNIA Europe is one of the few independent groups of vendors, resellers and consultants that end users can turn to for guidance on storage best practices and education,” said Chris James, EMEA marketing director at Virtual Instruments. “By becoming a member we will help educate the market on how to optimise storage infrastructure today and during the transition to the private cloud through full visibility into their SANs."
“As more members join the association, SNIA Europe continues to strengthen its position at the heart of the industry and therefore I am very pleased to welcome Virtual Instruments on board,” said Bob Plumridge, Chairman of the Board, SNIA Europe. “The adoption of cloud-based storage environments is steadily rising and it is of paramount importance for us to be able to rely on the knowledge of members who have developed innovative technologies that will be critical to organisations making the move to the cloud.”
