Following a year of strong growth, the market leader in virtual infrastructure optimization solutions adds key players in Europe
LONDON, UK — January 5, 2010 — Virtual Instruments, the leader in virtual infrastructure optimization, today announced key appointments to its team throughout Europe, designed to accelerate growth in the region. Ulla Leinenweber and Alex D’Anna join from EMC as Country Manager for Germany and European Solutions Consulting Manager respectively, whilst Nicolas Blanc becomes Country Manager for France, having built and managed sales & systems engineering teams in France for companies such as Siebel Systems and SAP AG.
Virtual Instruments’ 200% growth rate in fiscal 2009 can be attributed to a large extent to the strong adoption of its NetWisdom and VirtualWisdom products and services, and these appointments are designed to continue to build further momentum across Europe. This strong growth in Europe has continued into our new fiscal year with 150% gains during the most recent quarter.
Ulla Leinenweber, the new Country Manager for Germany, joins following 11 years at EMC, with an excellent track record in storage solutions sales across the retail, finance, manufacturing, and telecommunications industries. Before EMC, Ms. Leinenweber was a successful sales manager at Amdahl and Tandem. Nicolas Blanc, the new Country Manager for France, joins with over 18 years of sales and sales management experience at Dun & Bradstreet Software, SAP AG and Siebel Systems. Both Ulla and Nicolas have demonstrated tremendous success driving large, complex transactions in highly competitive markets.
Alex D’Anna has been appointed as Solutions Consulting Manager for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa having spent 5 years with EMC, most recently as a VMware Specialist supporting EMC Enterprise Global accounts in the Western US. Before EMC, D’Anna spent 3 years at a leading EMC, HP and Sun reseller focused on advanced enterprise storage services and business continuity. Mr. D’Anna received his Bachelor’s degree from University of California at Los Angeles. Alex will be responsible for all pre-sales technical support and professional services on a European-wide basis.
