George joined Virtual Instruments in June of 2011 and is responsible for all aspects of finance and accounting at the company. He is a 30 year tech industry veteran in both the hardware and software industries. Most recently, George was Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Accounting Officer at Symantec where he led the accounting, financial planning, and customer operations back office functions. Prior to Symantec, George was the Chief Financial Officer at BMC Software. George began his career with IBM and served in a number of key finance and accounting roles throughout his 23 years at the company. George was a member of IBM’s Senior Leadership Group and served as the company’s Chief Accountant, CFO of the IBM Software Group, and Vice President of Finance for IBM Americas in addition to serving in various pricing, product planning, and accounting roles at locations in Virginia, New York, France, and Japan.
George holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Brigham Young University.
